The story behind the name
I’ve spent over 20 years in recruitment. It’s a career that’s taken me through fast-paced industries, countless briefs, and thousands of conversations with people at every stage of their working lives. And if I’ve learned anything, it’s this: recruitment is all about people — their ambition, their instincts, their timing.
These days, I focus on what I know best: client services roles within creative and advertising agencies. That means everything from Account Executives stepping into agency life, to Business Directors and Client Partners leading major accounts. I’ve worked with global networks, independent shops, and everything in between — and I understand the language, the expectations, the pace, and the personalities that make it all tick.
But beyond the job titles and agency names, what really matters to me is getting it right. That means really understanding the brief — and the person behind it. It means being honest when something doesn’t feel quite right, and proactive when it does. It means knowing when to trust experience, and when to lean into instinct.
I’m not about box-ticking or high-volume placements. I work one-to-one, with people I rate, on roles I believe in. Whether you’re hiring or moving, my job is to make it easier, sharper, and more human.
That’s what Rockinroles is here for.
Rockinroles started with my dad. He’s a rock musician — and like all great lyricists, he’s got a way with words. Back in 2014, we were coming up with names for my new business when he clocked that “roles” meant jobs. He paused for a second, smiled, and said: “Rockinroles.”
It landed immediately. Clever. Simple. And it just felt right.
The name is a nod to him, and to the rhythm of recruitment — because when it works, it really works. Right person, right place, right time.
"Where standout talent meets standout brands."
Values behind Rockinroles
-
I build relationships before I fill roles. Behind every brief is a person, and behind every CV is a story. I listen, I learn, and I work with empathy — because getting it right means understanding people, not just positions.
-
With over 20 years in recruitment, I’ve seen what works — and what doesn’t. I trust my gut, sharpened by experience, to spot the right fit when it really counts.
-
I believe in keeping things clear, open, and honest — whether it’s advice, feedback, or expectations. You’ll always know where you stand, and I’ll always say what I truly think (kindly, of course).
-
I don’t flood inboxes. I work selectively and intentionally, connecting the right people with the right opportunities — not just ticking boxes.
-
Whether you're building a team or planning your next step, I treat it as a collaboration. I’m in it with you — and I care about getting it right.
